The SmD Teaching Material
Database containing SmD Teaching Material for Science Introduction Workshops
Since 2015 numerous Western and Tibetan instructors have taught science in form of introduction workshops (SIW) in various nunneries and monasteries all over India and Nepal. There are two levels of workshops. Level 2 workshop is a continuation of level 1. The overall topic of the first workshop is mirroring, while the second one is focused on senses. These workshops are designed for 6 days with 6 to 7 lessons per day. The many presentations, scripts and worksheets have now been translated into Tibetan. During the years 2001 to 2011 numerous western instructors taught science in Mundgod and Bylakuppe. They have produced many scripts and presentations and almost all have been translated into Tibetan. This was very challenging, because in the beginning there was no scientific vocabulary available for many expressions. Therefore some of the translations are not of high quality.
