Using and Borrowing

The Library of the Tibet Institute is a specialized scientific library open to the public. The collections (except nonbooks) can be searched online.

Borrowing

Since April 2009 most of the books are available for borrowing. The loan period is generally 28 days. This period is automatically extended twice if the document is not requested by another user.

Interlibrary loan

If you don’t want to pick up the documents from our library yourself, please contact a library near you, which supplies Interlibrary loan service (cf. fees).

Direct delivery

Copies can be ordered by e-mail to bibliothek@tibet-institut.ch or online via Aleph catalogue. They will be delivered by e-mail or postal mail for a fee.

Expert advice

The librarian of the Tibet Institute gives professional advice to the visitor.

IT facilities and copying

A PC with general internet access and a scanner are available in the library. Printing and copying are available for a charge (cf. fees).
